Hot on the heels of Frieze London comes Art Basel Paris, a highlight in the Swiss franchise’s growing arsenal of global trade fairs. With some 206 galleries in participation this year, the event sees the Grand Palais – a 20th-century glass-roofed landmark off the Champs-Élysées – come alive with patrons, dealers, curators and critics, each attempting to see as many works as possible.
